This policy explains how CAPVANE Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on capvane.com. We use them to keep the site working, to understand how visitors use the site, and to measure the performance of our marketing.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. It lets the site remember things like your preferences, or count how many people visit a page. Some are essential; others are optional and only run if you consent.
How we manage consent
When you first visit capvane.com, you will see a cookie banner from Usercentrics Cookiebot. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies there, and you can change your choice at any time by clicking the small cookie icon at the bottom corner of the page.
We also use Google Consent Mode v2. This means Google tags load in a restricted way until you consent, and only gain access to analytics or advertising storage after you give permission.
The cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Provider | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps the site running, remembers your cookie choice and page state. | CAPVANE / Cookiebot | Up to 1 year |
| Analytics | Counts page views, traffic sources and how visitors move around the site. No names or addresses are collected. | Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) | Up to 14 months |
| Marketing | Measures whether our advertising is effective and helps us avoid showing irrelevant ads. | Meta Pixel (loaded only if you consent to marketing cookies) | Up to 1 year |
We do not use advertising cookies for general browsing, and we do not share cookie data with social networks except where you have consented to marketing cookies.
Third-party services
- Google Tag Manager loads other tags on our behalf. It does not collect personal data itself, but it injects Google Analytics 4 and may inject other marketing tags if you consent.
- Google Analytics 4 records anonymised usage data such as pages visited, session duration and device type. IP addresses are not stored.
- Meta Pixel records when a visitor comes from a Meta ad or takes an action on the site. It only fires if you consent to marketing cookies.
- Cookiebot by Usercentrics stores your consent choice so we do not have to ask every time you load a page.
How to control cookies
You can update your consent at any time using the Cookiebot icon on the site. You can also refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) has a guide; search "manage cookies" plus your browser name. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.
